Quermançó Castle
(Future Orgue de l'Empordà)

Thanks to its privileged location, in the heart of the Alt Empordà, Can Ramon del Primo provides its guests with a diverse cultural offer adaptable to all tastes.

One of the most remarkable and worth-visiting spots around the area is the famous castle of Quermançó, a wonderful example of Catalan Medieval architecture, and the place where Salvador Dalí, who fell deeply in love with the castle, wanted to install an organ, the famous Orgue de la Tramuntana, so as to benefit from the powerful wind from the north (known as Tramuntana in Catalan) in order to keep the music on all through the day. This old project has been recently taken up again, and the construction of the Orgue de la Tramuntana is projected for the future.

The house is only 12 km away from Figueres, a town which displays a wide range of activities organized by its numerous museums: the Salvador Dalí museum, the Toy museum, the museum of the Empordà, etc.

Can Ramon del Primo is only 7 km. away from Peralada, with its famous Casino and the golf resort.

The main beaches of the region of Alt Empordà are also quite close to the house: Roses at 7 km, Cadaqués at 16 km, Port de la Selva at 12 km, etc.

And, finally, the capital city of the province, Girona, only 60 km away from the place, will allow the guests to enjoy a varied cultural offer: Jewish quarter, cathedral, cinema museum, the Devesa park, etc.
